Donations to Rock Lake Personal Care Home, Rock Lake Hospital, Rock Lake Ambulance Service, Rock Lake Palliative Care Program and Prairie View Lodge are gratefully accepted at any time. 

All Rock Lake Health District donations are accepted through the Rock Lake Health District Foundation and all donations to Prairie View Lodge are accepted through the Prairie View Lodge Foundation. All of the dollars reserved in the Foundation are a result of the generous gift donations as well as generous bequeaths made possible through estate planning. Donations are forwarded to the appropriate program provided as grants go through the process of application as set out by the Foundation. 

Both foundations are instrumental in providing funding dollars for many programs and services that would not otherwise be offered throughout our organizations.  Both fund a variety of educational courses, including support staff upgrading their education from an LPN to an RN/BN or a Health Care Aide to an LPN.  These recruitment/retention dollars have been beneficial in “growing our own staff” from within our communities and filling positions that would otherwise be vacant.  The Foundations also fund the volunteer program on an annual basis.  The Foundations are called upon to supplement operational dollars for such needs as the use of Agency Nursing, recreational programs, handy van outings and cranky bed drives.  They are both also integral to renovation projects and additional equipment needs.  Their support allows Rock Lake Health District and Prairie View Lodge programs and services to rise to the growing need placed on Health Care Systems today.

The Prairie View Lodge Foundation has been very supportive of funding dollars to upgrade the Independent Living Suites as required.  This has enabled our facilities to be well maintained and attractive for tenants; consequently our suites are consistently occupied.  

Rock Lake Health District Foundation, in collaboration with our local municipal partners, also provides additional incentives, retention and recruitment funds to our two physicians.

Rock Lake Ambulance relies on the generous donations provided throughout the years to enhance programs and services provided to the general public.

All grants provided are at the discretion of an Independent Board of Directors made up of local community members.  Their decisions are taken very seriously and there is a detailed process in place for the application for funds.
